The Honourable Pam Parsons, Minister Responsible for Women and Gender Equality, will be joined by Joanne Thompson, Member of Parliament for St. John’s East, and Angela Crockwell, Executive Director of Thrive, to announce funding for nine community organizations provided through the National Action Plan to End Gender-based Violence.

The funding will be used to carry out important violence prevention work in the areas of outreach, education, and awareness.

The event takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, at the Thrive office, 807 Water Street, St. John’s.
