Undertakings Registered:
Humber River Ballam Bridge Replacement (Reg. 2430)
Proponent: Department of Transportation and Infrastructure
The proponent is proposing to replace an aged and deteriorated bridge across the Humber River on Route 440 in Corner Brook. The project would include the demolition and removal of the existing bridge and the construction of a new, permanent bridge.
The undertaking was registered on August 7, 2026. The deadline for public comment is September 11, 2026, and the minister’s decision is due by September 21, 2026.

Crémaillère Harbour Marine Port Development Resubmission (Reg. 2429)
Proponent: Great Northern Port Inc.
The proponent has submitted a proposal to develop an industrial subdivision and marine port at Crémaillère Harbour, approximately 4.1 kilometres south of the town of St. Anthony on the Great Northern Peninsula. The project consists of an industrial subdivision and deepwater marine port and services base.
The undertaking was registered on August 7, 2026. The deadline for public comment is September 11, 2026, and the minister’s decision is due by September 21, 2026.

Crown Zone 7 Five-Year Operating Plan (2027-2031) (Reg. 2428)
Proponent: Department of Forestry, Agriculture and Lands
The proponent has submitted a proposal for a five-year operating plan for Zone 7, which includes Forest Management Districts 9 and 16. Zone 7 extends from Deer Lake in the west to Cat Arm in the north and includes all of the Baie Verte Peninsula. The plan describes proposed timber harvesting operations, construction of access roads and silviculture activities. The plan covers the period from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2031.
The undertaking was registered on August 6, 2026. The deadline for public comment is September 11, 2026, and the minister’s decision is due by September 20, 2026.
