The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is reminding students who plan to attend a post-secondary institution in the coming months that student financial assistance applications are now being accepted for the 2026-27 academic year.
Loans and non-repayable grants are available to help students access and pay for post-secondary education.
Post-secondary students who receive a provincial student loan and successfully complete a full course load may also qualify for the Provincial Government’s Debt Reduction Grant Program, which can significantly reduce or eliminate provincial student debt.
Budget 2026 invests more than $32 million in student aid to help reduce financial barriers and contribute to student success.
