Media representatives are invited to participate in the lock-in for the release of the Independent Review Committee report respecting the Memorandum of Understanding for a New Long-Term Energy Purchase and Development Initiative Between Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and Hydro-Québec on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The lock-in will take place in the Conference Centre, West Block, Confederation Building.
The schedule for the lock-in is as follows (all times are approximate):

| 8:45 a.m. | Lock-in begins and report is distributed |
| 10:00 a.m. | Technical briefing with Dr. Geoff Hollett, PhD, Senior Policy, Planning and Research Specialist, on behalf of the Independent Review Committee |
| 12:15 p.m. | Media representatives move to Media Centre, East Block, Confederation Building |
| 12:30 p.m. | News conference with Premier Tony Wakeham and Minister Lloyd Parrott (Embargo lifts when news conference begins) |
