The Provincial Government is now accepting nominations for the Council of the Federation Literacy Award, presented annually to recognize outstanding achievement, innovative practice, and excellence in literacy.
The deadline for submissions is June 12, 2026.
Nominations are being accepted for residents of the province who deliver programs, services or initiatives that strengthen literacy skills, support learning and employability, and improve quality of life.
The award will be presented in the fall of 2026. The winner will receive a Council of the Federation Literacy Award engraved medallion and a certificate signed by the Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Residents are encouraged to nominate an individual who has demonstrated excellence and leadership in the field of literacy.
