The Honourable Tony Wakeham, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador will attend the Offshore Northern Seas annual conference from August 24 to 27 in Stavanger, Norway. Premier Wakeham will be joined by the Honourable Lloyd Parrott, Minister of Energy and Mines.

As a global energy forum that has established itself as a leading industry event for over 50 years, Offshore Northern Seas drives conversations about the energy future. Previous events have attracted nearly a thousand speakers representing over one hundred countries, sharing insights with thousands of attendees.

Premier Wakeham will be meeting with industry representatives and discussing Newfoundland and Labrador’s strategic advantages in offshore oil production and emerging opportunities in natural gas, clean energy exports, and energy storage. He will also highlight the significance of the Bay du Nord project and how offshore developments have the potential to strengthen long-term energy security while supporting economic growth, investment and job creation.
