The Honourable Tony Wakeham, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Pleaman Forsey, Minister of Forestry, Agriculture and Lands, will be in Gander this weekend to bring greetings to the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services 60th Annual Convention.

Minister Forsey will bring greetings during the opening ceremonies on Friday, September 25, at the Evangel Pentecostal Church, 130 Magee Road, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Premier Wakeham will join delegates at the Ministerial Banquet at the Quality Hotel, 102 Trans-Canada Highway, on Sunday, September 27, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Minister Forsey and Labrador West MHA Joe Power will also attend the banquet.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services consists of fire departments throughout the province and advocates for members, enhances firefighter training, and delivers fire protection services.
