The Honourable Tony Wakeham, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will attend the Canadian Defence Security and Aerospace Exhibition (DEFSEC Atlantic) in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from October 7-8. The exhibition offers a major networking opportunity for the aerospace, defence and security industries and is the second largest event of its kind in Canada. Premier Wakeham will be joined by the Honourable Lin Paddock, Minister of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development. Minister Paddock will also attend the opening reception for DEFSEC Atlantic on October 6.

Focused on promoting opportunities throughout Atlantic Canada, the exhibition attracts a global audience and helps foster new partnerships and business connections. The event also brings together government representatives, creating opportunities to showcase programs and initiatives that support economic growth and future business development.

Premier Wakeham looks forward to meeting attendees, sharing the province’s strategic advantages and highlighting the infrastructure, workforce capability, industrial capacity and geographic position that make Newfoundland and Labrador a critical partner in Canada’s defence future.
