Public Advisory: Call for Proposals Issued for Settlement and Integration Program

  • Jobs, Growth and Rural Development

March 5, 2026

The Provincial Government is inviting applications for projects under the Newfoundland and Labrador Settlement and Integration Program. This program helps newcomers build a strong sense of belonging in the province and supports their social, economic and cultural integration. It also plays an important role in helping newcomers live and thrive in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Projects can be submitted under three streams. They should focus on providing direct services to newcomers – no matter their immigration status – to help them settle, find work and succeed in the local economy. The program also supports projects that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti‑racism to strengthen an inclusive and welcoming province for all.

Organizations eligible for project funding include:

  • Non-profit organizations, including newcomer-serving, community, ethnocultural and multicultural organizations registered in Newfoundland and Labrador;
  • Post-secondary institutions;
  • Municipalities; and,
  • Indigenous governing bodies.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Settlement and Integration Grant Program 2026/27 guidelines are available online here.

All applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. NDT on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

To support organizations interested in applying for program funding, two virtual training sessions will be offered at 2:30 p.m. NDT on Thursday, March 12, 2026, and 10:30 a.m. NDT on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Information sessions will cover the application process and reporting requirements. Those interested in attending are asked to register here.
