The Honourable Lin Paddock, Minister of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development, will announce recipients of the 2026 Research Inspired Student Enrichment (RISE) Awards today (Friday, April 17).

The event will take place at the Emera Innovation Exchange, 100 Signal Hill Road, St. John’s, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Members of the media planning to attend are asked to RSVP.

Recipients of the RISE awards are Level II high school students who demonstrate academic excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. RISE award recipients are awarded an opportunity to attend research-related summer enrichment programs.
