The Honourable Lela Evans, Minister of Women and Gender Equality will attend the public reception for the 74th annual Arts and Letters Awards exhibition today (Friday, April 17) on behalf of the Honourable Andrea Barbour, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at The Rooms, 9 Bonaventure Avenue, St. John’s.

Winners of the 2026 Arts and Letters Awards in visual art, literary arts, media arts, and music will be revealed at the event.

First launched in 1952, the Arts and Letters Awards Program encourages the creation of new works of art in the categories of literature, music, visual art and media arts. The program recognizes artistic excellence through the awarding of monetary prizes, and offers the opportunity for adjudication to both emerging and established artists.
