Provincial Government Announces Appointments and Reappointments to Marble Mountain Development Corporation

The Honourable Mike Goosney, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, has announced the appointment and reappointment of members of the Marble Mountain Development Corporation’s Board of Directors.

Appointments and reappointments are for a three-year term:

  • Charles Pender, Chairperson
  • Steve Moores, Deputy Chairperson
  • Ronald Shelley
  • Kevin Vincent
  • Victoria Young
  • Catherine Targett
  • Janice Webber
  • Deputy Minister, Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation and Deputy Minister, Department of Finance are reappointed to the Board as general member representatives.

The Marble Mountain Development Corporation is a Crown corporation responsible for the operation of Marble Mountain Resort, located in Steady Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. Serving as a catalyst for tourism development in the western region and throughout the province, the Marble Mountain Development Corporation operates the largest alpine ski resort in Atlantic Canada, offering year-round activities, attractions, accommodations, and services consistent with a major tourism establishment.

Steve Moores
Steve Moores resides in Pasadena and serves as General Manager of Pardy’s Waste
Management and Industrial Services Limited.

Ronald Shelley
Ronald Shelley resides in Deer Lake with experience as an industrial technician and as a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Kinsmen Club.

Victoria Young
Victoria Young resides in York Harbour and possesses over 15 years of
community-based experience in healthcare, business leadership and public service.

Kevin Vincent
Kevin Vincent resides in Steady Brook and is a graduate of the College of the North Atlantic’s Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Pursuits program and owner of the Newfound Sushi restaurant in Corner Brook.

Catherine Targett
Catherine Targett resides in Steady Brook, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University and currently serves as an operations manager overseeing multiple restaurant locations.

Janice Webber
Janice Webber resides in Corner Brook and has been employed as a small business entrepreneur and registered nurse.
