Motorists are advised that bridge repair work will begin at the Whitbourne Underpass, located at the interchange of the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) and Route 80, on Monday, July 20, 2026, and is expected to continue until September 30, 2026.

To accommodate the work, the southbound lane on Route 80 toward Whitbourne and the centre turning lane will be closed. The northbound lane on Route 80 will remain open to traffic. Adjacent ramps and access points will remain accessible and traffic across the bridge will be managed through traffic signals and signage.

No impacts to the Trans-Canada Highway are anticipated as a result of the project at this time.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, reduce speed in the work zone, and follow posted signage and traffic control measures.
