Motorists are advised of temporary traffic changes at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) westbound Exit 42 and Kenmount Road.

This change is in response to concerns with traffic at this busy intersection, particularly where vehicles turning left onto Kenmount Road toward Donovan’s Industrial Park can impede right-turning traffic due to vehicle stacking and sightline limitations.

To help address these concerns, a temporary traffic control measure will be implemented beginning Sunday, August 2, 2026. Under this pilot project, motorists who would normally make a left turn at this location will be required to turn right and proceed through the roundabout at the Kenmount Road Extension and Karwood Drive intersection to access their destination.

Staff will monitor traffic operations and vehicle flow throughout the pilot project to assess its effectiveness and determine whether additional or permanent changes are warranted.

Motorists are asked to follow all posted signage and exercise caution while travelling through the area.

The public’s patience and cooperation during this pilot project is appreciated.
