The Honourable Lela Evans, Minister of Women and Gender Equality, will attend the Federal, Provincial and Territorial meetings for Ministers Responsible for the Status of Women from July 13-16, 2026. The meetings take place at the Crowne Plaza, 1005 Main Street, Moncton, N.B.

Ministers will discuss violence prevention initiatives; the social and economic conditions contributing to exploitation and human trafficking; supporting women’s entry and retention in high-growth industries; and non-traditional sectors and the impact of artificial intelligence on women.

While in Moncton, Minister Evans will also meet with her Atlantic counterparts and attend a meeting with federal, provincial and territorial Indigenous leaders and representatives.
