The Department of Finance and the Canadian Home Builders Association Newfoundland and Labrador (CHBANL) wishes to remind the public that tomorrow (Friday, August 7) is the deadline to apply for the Residential Construction Rebate.
There has been significant response to this program, with an estimated 8,500 homeowner applications received to date. Over the coming weeks, applications will be reviewed in the order they were received.
Both the department and the CHBANL continue to receive hundreds of calls and emails seeking status updates, which is causing delays in reviewing and processing applications. If you have submitted an application as a contractor or as a homeowner, we request your patience. Contractor approvals are posted online.
All homeowner applicants will receive a response whether they qualify for the rebate or not. Staff will also follow-up with contractors and homeowners in the event that there are any questions or clarifications needed for an application.
