The Honourable Pleaman Forsey, Minister of Forestry, Agriculture and Lands, will join partners from GlobalMedic, Loblaw Companies Limited, and volunteer firefighters in supplying 32 local volunteer fire departments with new equipment to support community response in the upcoming wildfire season.

The event will take place on Tuesday, March 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Loblaw Distribution Centre, 35 Clyde Ave., Mount Pearl.

GlobalMedic is a registered Canadian charity that runs capacity building programs and provides disaster relief services to large-scale catastrophes around the world. Since 2023, GlobalMedic has supported fire departments across the country with donations of fire skid units to bolster their capacity to respond to wildfires.
