The Provincial Government is investing $124,000 through the Business Growth Program to support the expansion of TxtSquad Enterprises Inc., a St. John’s-based information and communication technology company specializing in healthcare communication solutions.
The funding, provided by the Department of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development, will support TxtSquad’s market expansion strategy, helping the company grow its presence in new national and international healthcare markets. The investment supports business growth activities and will lead to the creation of one new full-time position, increasing the company’s workforce. This funding also leverages $124,000 of client investment.
Founded in 2020, TxtSquad develops secure, cloud-based communication tools that allow healthcare providers to connect with patients through two-way text messaging and phone-based systems. Its platform is designed to improve patient engagement, reduce administrative burden, and streamline clinic operations.
TxtSquad’s technology is already in use across multiple jurisdictions in Canada and the United States. A successful pilot project with Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services resulted in significant reductions in patient no-shows and increased clinic efficiency.
This investment reflects the Provincial Government’s commitment to supporting innovation, helping Newfoundland and Labrador companies scale, and building a strong, diversified economy. By supporting local technology companies like TxtSquad, the province is helping local ideas succeed here at home and grow into businesses with national and international reach.
