Drivers are advised that construction crews will be mobilizing to the Roaches Line area beginning on Monday, April 13. Traffic control measures will be in place until August 31, 2026.

Drivers are advised of the following traffic impacts during this period:

• Exit 31 from the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1) eastbound to Route 70/75 northbound (Roaches Line) will be closed. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour signage via Brigus Junction to access Route 70/75 northbound.
• Vehicles exiting Mahers Cabin Access Road will not be permitted to turn left onto Route 70/75 northbound. A detour via Brigus Junction, following posted signage, will be in effect.
• Drivers travelling from Route 70/75 southbound to Route 1 eastbound may experience alternating single-lane traffic through the Roaches Line underpass. Access will be maintained at all times; however, minor delays may occur.

Drivers are asked to obey all posted signage, reduce speed in the work zone, and plan additional travel time if necessary.
