Public Advisory: Violence Awareness Posters Available for Public Distribution

May 4, 2026

The Office of Women and Gender Equality is pleased to offer two new violence awareness posters for distribution to community partners, schools and any other public facing organizations or businesses for display in their premises.

One poster is designed for youth and the other is for the broader community, each displaying important telephone numbers or websites people can contact should they require support. The posters share the simple messages: “HELP is a call away” and “It’s not your fault.”

Plain and simple, no one should face violence alone, and support is always within reach.

To obtain posters, please email wgeinfo@gov.nl.ca with your organization name and postal mailing address, and posters will be mailed to you. Please include in your email the number of posters you are requesting and type the word POSTER in your subject line.

Education and awareness are key to ending gender-based violence for all of us. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
