The Honourable Helen Conway Ottenheimer, Minister of Justice and Public Safety, will be highlighting investments and initiatives for policing in the province today (Monday, May 11).

The event will take place at the RNC Provincial Headquarters, 1 Fort Townshend, St. John’s at 1:00 p.m.

Minister Conway Ottenheimer will be joined by Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Chief of Police Pat Roche and Assistant Commissioner and Commanding Officer Royal Canadian Mounted Police of Newfoundland and Labrador Pat Cahill.

National Police Week is celebrated from May 10 to 16. Under the theme Committed to Serve Together, the week aims to bring increased awareness and understanding between police and the communities they serve.
