June 25, 2026

The Provincial Government wishes all students, teachers and staff a safe and relaxing summer on the final day of classes for the 2025-26 school year.

Students in the Newfoundland and Labrador public education system benefited from meaningful educational experiences that fostered the development of knowledge, skills and teamwork through participation in classroom activities to achieve success together.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development congratulates students on their academic achievements and on their participation in school activities. This school year has featured many inspiring stories highlighting meaningful contributions of students, teachers and staff in both school and community activities and excellence in academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Teachers are a vital and valuable asset to students, consistently demonstrating kindness, compassion and a commitment to learning, growth and achievement in their teaching. Through the introduction and adaptation of innovative approaches both inside and outside the classroom, students are provided with a wide range of meaningful experiences while in school. Whether it’s developing new technological skills or engaging in hands-on, collaborative projects, students and teachers learn from one another, with teachers always supporting and guiding student success. This is truly something to celebrate!

Congratulations to our high school graduates. The Provincial Government extends best wishes as students move forward into their future pathways. High school transcripts will be released in the coming weeks and will be available through the PowerSchool portal. The 2026-27 school year will begin for students on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
