Registration is open for the fall 2026 Becoming an Outdoors Woman workshop at Camp Emmanuel in Lewisporte from September 25-27.
Becoming an Outdoors Woman is an opportunity for individuals 18+ who identify as female to learn outdoor skills in a safe, inclusive environment. Sessions focus on hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities and offer insight into the management and conservation of Newfoundland and Labrador’s natural, historical and cultural resources.
Over the course of three days, participants attend four half-day courses chosen from 28 options. Sessions include shotgun, rifle and archery; fly fishing, fly tying and towing a boat with a trailer; camping, outdoor cooking and hiking; and map and compass, navigation and orienteering skills.
