The Honourable Tony Wakeham, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, announced the following changes within the executive of the Provincial Government, effective August 24, 2026.
These include:
Craig Davis is appointed as Deputy Minister of the Department of Seniors.
Jeannine Herritt is appointed as Deputy Minister of the Department of Social Supports and Well-Being.
Tracy King is appointed as Deputy Minister of the Department of Health and Community Services.
Colleen Stockley is appointed as Deputy Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, Office of the Executive Council, and Deputy Minister of the Department of Labrador Affairs.

BACKGROUNDER
Craig Davis
Most recently, while at NL Health Services, Craig Davis served as Chief Operating Officer for the Central Zone, Vice President of the Cardiovascular and Stroke Program, and Vice President for Long-Term Care and Community Supports. Prior to these roles, he served as Vice President of People and Transformation for Central Health.
In 2000, Mr. Davis began his career in health, working in long-term care before transitioning into a range of leadership roles within the legacy health authorities. In 2019, he joined the executive team of Central Health as Senior Director of Primary Health Care and Community Services.
Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Recreation (Co-operative) from Memorial University and a Master of Health Administration from Athabasca University.
Jeannine Herritt
Jeannine Herritt most recently served as Deputy Minister of the Department of Seniors. Prior to this role, she held the position of Assistant Deputy Minister, Regional Services, in the Department of Health and Community Services. Ms. Herritt also held several progressive health care leadership roles with Eastern Health and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Ms. Herritt is a registered nurse and was previously the Chief Nurse with the Department of Health and Community Services. She has diverse experience across the health care continuum and is recognized for her skill in system transformation and change management.
Ms. Herritt holds a Master of Nursing (Leadership) from Athabasca University and a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from the Centre for Nursing Studies, Memorial University.
Tracy King
Tracy King most recently served as Deputy Minister of the Department of Social Supports and Well-Being. Prior to this role, Ms. King served as Deputy Minister of Women and Gender Equality, Deputy Minister of Education, Deputy Minister of Labrador Affairs, Deputy Minister of the former Department of Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation, Deputy Minister of the former Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture, Deputy Minister of the former Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment, and Deputy Minister of the former Department of Transportation and Works.
Prior to these roles, Ms. King served as Assistant Deputy Minister, Government Renewal Initiative Secretariat, in the Office of the Executive Council, Assistant Secretary to Cabinet (Social Policy), and Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy and Planning, with the Department of Health and Community Services. Ms. King has also held a variety of policy-related positions with the former Department of Justice, Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, former Department of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs, Department of Health and Community Services, the Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat and Cabinet Secretariat.
Ms. King holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in Public Administration from Memorial University.
Colleen Stockley
Colleen Stockley most recently served as Deputy Minister of the Department of Health and Community Services. Prior to this, she served as Director of Community Wellness with First Light NL. Ms. Stockley also served as Deputy Minister of Health with the Nunavut Government and was a recipient of Health Canada’s 2017 Deputy Minister Award of Excellence in Leadership, Nunavut Wellness Agreement Team.
Ms. Stockley began working in health care in 1988 and has held numerous health and management roles throughout her career. She was a recipient of the Public Service Award of Excellence, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, in 2006.
Ms. Stockley holds a Nursing Diploma, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Business Administration from Memorial University.
