| Summary: | The Complainant made a request to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) seeking records related to a police complaint they had filed. The RNC provided the Complainant with the file, including the call summary and the general occurrence file. Some information was withheld under section 40 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy) of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015. The Complainant sought a review of the decision to withhold information under section 40 and an assessment of the adequacy of the search for records. This Report finds that the RNC appropriately withheld personal information and conducted a reasonable search for records. |
