    • Insurance Industry
      • Insurance companies, agents, brokers, salespersons and adjusters, and various provisions of insurance contracts;
    • Securities Industry
      • Companies that raise capital from the investing public (e.g. reporting issuers), market intermediaries (registrants) that sell and advise in the trading of securities, oversight of certain self-regulatory organizations, as well as regulation of the mutual funds industry
    • Real Estate Industry
      • Individuals and corporations that act for consumers in the purchase, sale, lease or rental of real estate, property management or collection of rents;
    • Mortgage Brokers
      • Individuals and corporations that act as a mortgage broker and deal in mortgages or act on behalf of a consumer to find a financial institution to give a mortgage to the consumer, establishes disclosure requirements on the cost of borrowing and regulation of fees that a mortgage broker can charge;
    • Prepaid Funeral Services
      • Businesses selling prepaid funeral contracts as well as provisions of prepaid funeral contracts
    • Security Services
      • Individuals and corporations who provide clients with private investigation and security services for the purposes of protection or gathering information.
    • Direct Sellers
      • Licencing of direct sales contracts between consumers and business entities to protect consumers being solicited at home.
    • Collection Agencies
      • Licencing of individuals and corporations that facilitate the collection of outstanding debt for others
    • Charitable Gaming
      • Licencing of charitable organizations to conduct and manage gaming activities to ensure fair play and financial proceeds returned to the organizations for charitable programming.
    • Payday Lenders
      • Businesses engaged in loans of $1,500 or less for a term of 62 days or less as well as provisions of the payday loan contract.
    • Residential Tenancies
      • Receives applications for disputes between landlords and tenants and provides mediation and adjudication services to resolve disputes between landlords and tenants.
    • Consumer Protection and Business Practices
      • Disclosure requirements of businesses regarding consumer transactions for goods and services to ensure consumers have the information they need to make informed decisions about purchase decisions.
