Operating hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm (front gate closes at 4:45pm) from June 1st to Labour Day, seven days a week. From the day after Labour Day the park opens 9:00am and closes at 4:00pm (front gate closes at 3:00pm) seven days a week.

Budget 2022 allocated two million dollars for necessary upgrades to the Nature Trail Boardwalk and other major park facilities that will build upon existing wildlife education programs and exhibits while enhancing the overall visitor experience. Due to ongoing repairs and upgrades to park infrastructure, some areas of the park may not be accessible to visitors or may be closed for portions of the day while construction occurs throughout the summer and fall. Regular updates on closures will be provided on Twitter @FFA_GovNL as well as the Friends of Salmonier Nature Park Facebook page.
