Geodetic Surveys

This program has established about 7000 permanent survey markers with precise positions for the reference of topographic mapping, land surveys, and engineering surveys. The positions are integrated with the Geodetic Survey of Canada. The current method of survey is the Global Positioning System (GPS) utilizing precise survey methods. This geodetic framework is the spatial reference for all GIS applications.

The current reference frame adopted by GIS and Mapping is NAD83 (CSRS) of the 2010.0 Epoch.
