Animal Health Laboratory

The Animal Health Laboratory is responsible for veterinary diagnostic and food safety testing for the province’s agriculture industry, the support of private veterinary clinics and for the diagnosis of disease in wild animals.

The laboratory is run by a Veterinary Pathologist and staffed by Medical Laboratory Technologists.

To support the testing needs of various livestock and poultry industries, specific tests are accredited under the Standards Council of Canada ISO17025 program.
