This branch consists of three divisions:

• Planning Services Division
• Sustainable Fisheries and Oceans Policy Division
• Fishing Industry Renewal and Adjustment Division

Responsibilities

Through the Planning Services Division, the branch provides policy and program planning services to the department. The Sustainable Fisheries and Oceans Policy Division participates in oceans policy and governance issues in resource assessment and management process of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. In addition, this division also provides input into local, national, and international forums responsible for fisheries conservation and management.
