Government Services through the Vital Statistics Division is responsible for registering and certifying all births, deaths and marriages. It also registers adoptions and legal name changes and certifies clergy and civil authorities for marriage ceremonies.
We encourage requests for documents to be completed online, where possible. Where documents are required immediately, counter service is available.
ATTENTION: If a birth record is over 100 years old and you are not the subject named on the birth certificate, your application cannot be processed online. Please see “Birth Records over 100 years” section.
