A resident of Outer Battery Road informed us that her house was partially buried by an avalanche in February. Most of the avalanche debris fell on the start of the North Head trail, but some spilled onto the deck and blocked the entrance way to the house. The occupants had to wait for outside help to dig out the door. This is the Garland house that was affected in 1959 and 1960.
