September 17, 2021

Over 300 responses were received following a call to Local Service Districts and Unincorporated Areas for input on regionalization. As part of the engagement process, which concluded September 3, residents and committee members were asked to complete an online survey with the option to also provide information by mail.

Previous consultations on regionalization were held throughout 2017 and included 22 in-person sessions as well as an engageNL survey, and written and telephone submissions.

This most recent consultation builds on the previous engagement process and will provide further information specific to Local Service Districts and Unincorporated Areas.

A ‘What We Heard’ document outlining the input received will be released in the coming weeks.

Quote
“With over 300 responses to the recent survey, it is clear that Local Service Districts and Unincorporated Areas have a high level of interest in regionalization. I look forward to reviewing the input from residents and committee members which will help inform the development of a plan for regionalization across the province. Thank you to all who took the time to participate in the survey.”
