The Department of Environment and Climate Change is responsible for administering the $89.4 million Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund, a federal-provincial cost shared agreement.

The Climate Change Challenge Fund is one of many programs that are vital to addressing climate change in Newfoundland and Labrador. The Provincial Government is committed to emissions reduction targets by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050, growing the economy, building resilience to a changing climate and to supporting greenhouse gas reduction projects.
