The Honourable Andrea Barbour, Minister of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, has announced the following relative to Environmental Assessment – Part 10 – of the Environmental Protection Act.

Draft Environmental Impact Statement Guidelines and Public Review:

St. Lawrence South Ridge Fluorspar Mine Extension                    (Reg. 2406)
Proponent: Canada Fluorspar (NL) Inc.

The proposed St. Lawrence South Ridge Fluorspar Mine Extension project is undergoing an environmental assessment, and an Environmental Impact Statement is required. The Environmental Assessment Committee has prepared draft guidelines that identify information that must be included in the Environmental Impact Statement. The public is invited to review these guidelines and provide written comments by October 3, 2026.
