Project Description:
The proponent is proposing to develop a five-hectare quarry located in Long Harbour-Mount Arlington Heights. The proposed undertaking will be used to source roadway materials which will be utilized for roadway projects throughout Newfoundland. The extraction activities will involve drilling, blasting, crushing, screening and washing.
- March 20, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
- April 25, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
- May 4, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- May 2, 2025 – The Minister determined the project is released.
- May 21, 2026 – The Water Resources Management Plan is accepted.
