Project Description:

The proposal is to construct an 82 room hotel in the Town of Deer Lake. The site is bounded by the Trans Canada Highway to the south and Great Northern Peninsula Highway to the west and the Humber River to the north. Construction is to commence in the Fall of 2007, pending approval, over a 12-month period.

• August 30, 2007 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 5, 2007 – Public comments are due.
• October 14, 2007 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• October 18, 2007 – The Minister announced the project is released from further environmental assessment review subject to a condition.
