Project Description:

The proponent proposes to conduct a mineral exploration project on Glover Island on Grand Lake in western Newfoundland. Activities planned during the project include: construction of a 14 person camp, as well as a 100 drum fuel cache, exploration diamond drilling,surface prospecting, soil/rock/till geochemistry, trenching, trail rehabilitation and surface remediation and re-vegetation. The project is intended to evaluate both the mineral resource potential and viability of a socio-economic, mineable gold deposit on Glover Island. The exploration project will commence as soon as approval is received.

• May 27, 2011 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 7, 2011 – Public comments are due.
• July 11, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• August 18, 2011 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
