Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop a 2.6-hectare sand and gravel quarry approximately 1.4 kilometres north of the Town of Badger off the Trans-Canada Highway. The quarry materials would be used to support infrastructure developments in the Central Newfoundland region.

• July 6, 2023 – Deadline for public comments.
• July 16, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• July 28, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• August 11, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• August 11. 2023 – Environmental Preview Report (EPR) required
• August 16, 2023 – The Minister appointed the Environmental Assessment Committee (EAC)
• October 10, 2023 – The EPR Guidelines are due.
• October 4, 2023 – The EPR Guidelines are Issued.
