Project Description:
The proponent is proposing to operate a 6-hectare quarry located approximately 2.2 km south of the entrance to Flatwater Pond Park, on Route 410 of the Baie Verte peninsula and near Middle Arm Brook. The quarry would provide aggregate to support highway construction and maintenance activities in the region over the next 10 to 15 years. Proposed activities include overburden removal, drilling and blasting, crushing, pit run-removal, screening, and stockpiling of quarry materials.
- October 16, 2026 – The undertaking was registered.
- November 20, 2026 – Deadline for public comments.
- November 30, 2026 – The Minister’s decision is due.
