The threat of climate change is real and climate-related disasters in Newfoundland and Labrador affect us all. Increasing storm events, hurricanes and rising sea levels damage the environment, infrastructure and place a heavy burden on our communities and our essential services.
The Climate Change Adaptation Cost-Benefit Analysis Tool is designed to help municipalities and decision-makers assess the economic risks of flooding and explore adaptation options under different scenarios, including the effects of climate change.
The development and distribution of the Climate Change Adaptation Cost-Benefit Analysis Tool was funded through a Federal-Provincial Agreement between the Department of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change and Natural Resources Canada’s Climate Change Adaptation Program.
