Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop and operate a 34.7-hectare sand and gravel quarry approximately 14 kilometres east of Labrador City-Wabush. The quarry materials would be used for municipal construction projects and for the mining industry in western Labrador.

• February 13, 2026 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 20, 2026 – Deadline for public comments.
• March 30, 2026 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• March 30, 2026 – The Minister determined the project is released.
