Project Description:
The proponent is proposing to develop and operate a 19.37‑hectare sand and gravel quarry approximately 3.3 kilometres north of Portland Creek and 4 kilometres south of Daniels Harbour. Quarry materials would be used for winter road maintenance sand and construction aggregates for regional projects on the Northern Peninsula.

- April 10, 2026 – Deadline for public comments.
- April 19, 2026 – The Minister’s decision is due.
