Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop and operate an approximately 7-hectare expansion of an existing quarry area located about 2 km west of the Trans-Canada Highway, off Mint Brook Resource Road, in the town of Gambo. The quarry would supply aggregate for provincial highway construction, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance in central Newfoundland.

  • May 15, 2026 – Deadline for Public Comments.
  • May 24, 2026 – The Minister’s decision is due.
