Compensation and Payroll Services

  • Provides corporate leadership and professional advisory services to all levels of personnel regarding transactional and processing services for payroll and benefits.
  • Ensures compliance and administration of Provincial and Federal Legislation, compensation policies and Collective Agreements.
  • Responsible for maintenance and management of personnel files and data, administration of leave entitlements and contributions to compensation and related HR policy development and revision.
  • Manages and provides functional support for the Human Resource Management System and works with OCIO on continual implementation of PeopleSoft modules to support effective Payroll and HR management services.

Compensation and Payroll Services Division

Policy direction and compliance for the Compensation and Payroll Services Division. Payroll processing for Civil and Public Sector Pensions (Uniformed Services Pension Plan, Members of the House of Assembly Pension Plan, and Provincial Court Judge’s Pension Plan). Maintains personnel files.

Leave administration and Time and Labor processing for Civil employees. Transactional keying for the administration of workforce changes for Civil and OilCo employees.

Payroll processing for Teachers’ Payroll (Teachers, Student Assistants and District Executives). Leave administration, Time and Labor and transactional keying of workforce changes.
