The Aquaculture Branch of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture is responsible for the licensing of all aquaculture operations in the province, as well as conducting comprehensive inspections, compliance and regulatory programs for aquaculture sector, including regulation of aquatic animal health within its legislative authorities.
