Amendment to the Trinity South Highway Protected Road Zoning Plan (Winterton)

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment is considering amending the Trinity South Highway Protected Road Zoning Plan. The purpose of this amendment is to rezone land located on the west side of Route 80, south of the Salvation Army Citadel, to accommodate residential development. Amendment No. 1, 2018 proposes to rezone this subject site from ‘Rural Conservation’ to ‘Mixed’.

A public hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Winterton Recreation Centre, 114-126 Main Road, Winterton. The Commissioner will consider any written submissions and input made at the public hearing and provide a report and recommendation to the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment.

Any person who wishes to make a submission on the proposed amendment must provide a written statement and/or indication of intent to attend the hearing by 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2019.

The draft amendment is available for review by visiting www.mae.gov.nl.ca/consultations or by contacting the undersigned. If no submissions are received at least two days before the date set for the public hearing, the public hearing may be cancelled.
