Office of Employment Equity for Persons with Disabilities (OEEPD)

The Office operates a number of employment programs and career development services designed to assist persons with disabilities attain employment in provincial government departments.

Employment Programs

The OEEPD offers a range of full time, permanent, temporary and student positions throughout our Public Service in various locations of the province. These positions have been designated for persons with disabilities and filled only by members of this employment equity group who have registered with the Office.

Career Development Services

Our Office can assist you with the practical aspects of your job search, including resume development advice, interview preparation and information about the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s recruitment process. We also make referrals to community-based organizations across the province to further enhance your job search.

How to Become a Client

To be eligible to participate in the Office’s programs and services, you must self- identify as a person with a disability, as defined below, and submit an application form along with an updated resume.

Definition of Disability

A person with a disability is an individual who, for the purposes of employment, identify themselves or believe that an employer or potential employer is likely to consider them to be disadvantaged due to a long term or recurring disability.
