Leadership and Management Development

Through a variety of learning and development options, the Centre for Learning and Development aims to prepare management staff to manage the resources of government, including people management, financial management and information management. Programming is designed to develop leadership skills to ensure directors and managers are able to fulfill their accountabilities, to lead their teams, and to assist employees reach their potential.

The emphasis for Leadership and Management Development is on organizational outcomes. Learning and development is aimed at building directors and managers’ knowledge and skill sets to enable them to be successful in fulfilling Government’s objectives and commitments.

Our strategy includes specific programming for Directors, Managers, Supervisors and clients who aspire to obtain management positions. We focus on six areas of development for this group including legislative compliance learning, corporate management development, financial management, leadership development, mentorship opportunities and informal learning.
