Corporate and Strategic Services

The Corporate and Strategic Services (C&SS) Branch provides the policy, corporate operations, information management, and partnership services that enable the OCIO to deliver on its mandate across government. It integrates planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement to support accountable operations, sound decision-making, and effective collaboration.

The Information Management division leads government-wide information management by administering the Management of Information Act, 2015 and supporting departments through policy development, standards, guidance, and advisory services. This work ensures government information is managed responsibly, securely, and in compliance with legislative and policy requirements, supporting transparency, access, and effective service delivery.

The Policy, Planning and Corporate Operations division delivers core corporate operations for the OCIO, including policy, fiscal management, human resource planning, procurement oversight, contract management, facilities management, and corporate planning and reporting. These functions support strong stewardship of public resources and ensure the OCIO is well positioned to deliver sustainable, enterprise-wide technology services.

Through its Partnerships division, the branch works closely with departments, agencies, boards, and commissions to align OCIO priorities and services with program and service needs. The division also fosters productive relationships with vendors and external partners, supporting collaborative planning, effective delivery of initiatives, and long-term value from government technology investments.
